To promote communication among outstanding students and provide opportunities for outstanding undergraduates majoring in foreign languages to showcase their professional abilities, comprehensive qualities, and research potential, SFS successfully held the 2024 "National Outstanding College Students Summer Camp".

This summer camp attracted more than 80 students to register, and ultimately 19 campers were selected to participate. Through a variety of summer camp activities, campers experienced the academic atmosphere, presented themselves, and gained growth.

The opening ceremony of the Summer Camp was presided over by Vice Dean of SFS, Mao Yansheng. Professor Zhu Dianyong, Dean of SFS, delivered the opening speech, warmly welcoming the students and providing a comprehensive review to HEU, the School, and the disciplines.

SFS organized discussions among the representatives of supervisors from disciplines, graduate students, and campers, which deepened the campers' understanding of the School's discipline construction, research directions, campus culture, and daily life in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

At the closing ceremony of the Summer Camp, Dean Zhu Dianyong presented certificates to outstanding campers and delivered a speech. He highly praised the excellent performance of the camper, extended gratitude to the hardworking faculty and volunteers, and stated that the SFS sincerely welcomes outstanding students from all over the country to join. He expressed his hope that participating students improve their academic research level and strengthen communication and exchange between teachers and students through this activity.
