The opening ceremony for the 2024 undergraduate freshmen of SFS was held in the academic lecture hall of SFS, with 49 English major undergraduate freshmen attending the ceremony.

Secretary of SFS Party Committee Wu Yue, Dean Zhu Dianyong, Vice Dean Wang Lili, Vice Dean Mao Yansheng, Assistant Dean and Director of the School Office Li Li, Teacher of the English Teaching and Research Department Fan Yingfang, Deputy Director of the English Undergraduate Teaching and Research Department Wu Yuan, Student Counselor You Chunqiao and Zhao Qing, and Teaching Secretary of the Talent Cultivation Office Li Dongyi, attended the ceremony. Zhu Gexun, Assistant Dean and Director of the English Undergraduate Teaching and Research Department, presided over the opening ceremony.

Outstanding graduate representative Wen Xinchen delivered a speech. She shared her experience from four aspects: clarifying personal academic and employment plans, cherishing time to enrich contents of personal resumes, adhering to principles and bottom lines, and paying attention to physical and mental health. She sincerely hopes to help the freshmen and wishes them success in their studies.
