On March 24, 2025, Wang Tian, Deputy Director of the Heilongjiang Provincial Commerce Promotion Association’s Committee on Trade with Russia, along with Elena Ivanovna, Principal of the LINGVA-PLUS Language Education Center in Artem, Primorsky Krai, Russia, and her delegation of visiting scholars, visited Harbin Engineering University’s School of Foreign Studies. They were accompanied by Shen Si, Deputy Secretary of the College’s Party Committee, Wang Ning, Head of the Cambridge CEQ Examination Center, and Zhang Junnan, a speaking examiner for the Cambridge Level 5 exams, for a tour and discussion.

During the symposium, Deputy Secretary Shen engaged with the Russian teachers and students about their experiences during this visit to China and discussed topics such as their interest in studying in China and at our university. Following the discussion, Principal Ivanovna conducted an on-site inspection of the core functional areas of the Cambridge Level 5 examination center at the School of Foreign Studies. She highly praised the university's CEQ standardized examination center and its examination management standards, stating that they possess “international standards.” She noted that the university's geographical location is suitable for cooperation, and the campus scenery and historical culture felt welcoming, making it an ideal platform for future Russian students to participate in certification exams in China.

In response, we stated that as the only Cambridge Level 5 English examination center in Heilongjiang Province, we will provide thoughtful and satisfactory examination services to candidates and their parents through rigorous and efficient examination management and a high-level team of examiners. In the future, our team will strive to use language as a bridge to facilitate cultural interaction and exchange, fully demonstrating Harbin Engineering University's international education philosophy and its capability to serve society.
