To further broaden the international horizons and cross-cultural communication skills of faculty and students, and to advance international-exchange programs, the School of Foreign Studies convened its 2025 Study-Abroad Experience-Sharing and Training Session on the afternoon of 11 October 2025. The meeting was chaired by Assistant Dean Li Li and attended by teachers and students from across the School.

At the outset, Dean Zhu Dianyong reviewed the achievements of the School in international cooperation over the years, underscoring how study-abroad opportunities enhance participants’ overall competence and global literacy. He urged faculty and students to cherish these chances and to engage actively in academic and cultural exchanges.

Next, Guo Kunlin from the Office of International Cooperation presented a training talk titled “Procedures for Student Overseas Programs,” offering step-by-step guidance on application processes, online systems, and program types, giving students practical, ready-to-use information.

During the experience-sharing segment, Li Li outlined the current international-exchange landscape and future goals of the School. Faculty representatives Wang Lili and Mao Yansheng shared their experiences and gains from overseas academic conferences, while student representatives Sun Yutong, Chen Tianxiang and Jiang Ziqi recounted their firsthand experiences in studying abroad and attending conferences.

In her closing remarks, Wu Yue, secretary of the Party Committee of the School, emphasized that study-abroad programs are not only vital for sharpening students’ academic abilities and global vision, but also serve as a key practical platform for nurturing open and inclusive mind-sets.

Rich in content and varied in format, the session furnished valuable guidance for faculty and students about to go abroad and laid a solid foundation for sustained international-exchange initiatives of the School in the years ahead.
