To enhance students' critical thinking and public speaking skills and further foster a positive and inspiring campus culture, the Youth League Committee of the School of Foreign Languages actively organized the preliminary round of the "Qihang Youth Voices" Speech Contest under the guidance of the University Youth League Committee and the School's Party Committee.

Event Overview

As one of the guiding and organizing units of the university-level “Qihang Youth Voices” Speech Contest the School of Foreign Languages fully integrated its disciplinary characteristics while taking all three competition tracks into consideration. Through careful planning and coordination, the School carried out extensive publicity and mobilization through multiple channels, attracting nearly one hundred students to participate in the competition.

Drawing on its experience in organizing speech contests over the years, the School formulated the above scoring criteria and selected top-performing contestants based on the judges' scores to advance to the university-level semifinals. After intense competition, Fang Mengyuan, Huang Rui, De Aiai, Ma Ziyang, and Hao Zhiyu successfully secured their places. By integrating education with competition, the event enhanced students' critical thinking and expression skills, expanded the influence of the competition brand, and achieved the dual outcome of both effective talent cultivation and an improved campus cultural atmosphere.
