The Center for Digital Humanities and Literature, established on April 6, 2021, stands as a distinguished academic research institution within the School of Foreign Studies at   Harbin Engineering University. The center primarily indulges in research revolving around digital humanities and international literature. It encompasses various dimensions, including British and American female literature, American ethnic literature, Gothic literature, Jewish literature, comparative literature, and narrative studies. The center explores new perspectives and approaches to research in foreign literature with corpus and digital humanities methodologies. With the advancement of science and technology, such as big data and artificial intelligence, the center's objective is to profoundly expand and enrich the ambit of foreign literature research.

   The center boasts an elite team of 13 members, encompassing three accomplished professors, five associate professors, and five highly-educated teachers holding doctoral

degrees. Since its establishment, the collective effort of the team has resulted in the publication of six significant papers and a well-received monograph.  The center also won four provincial awards, and had two provincial projects approved. The center is committed to organizing interdisciplinary research teams and actively recruiting scholars from various disciplines   for technological research. It aspires to build a digital humanities platform to foster collaborative innovation. Moreover, the center endeavors to establish widespread academic collaborations with both national and international universities and academic institutions. It takes pride in organizing high-end academic events and actively advocates for interdisciplinary, trans-regional, and cross-cultural research within digital humanities literature.
