The Comparative Literature and Transcultural Studies Center represents a cross-disciplinary, innovative academic platform that follows the trends of contemporary development and promotes diverse cultural exchanges. The center is dedicated to an interdisciplinary approach, aims at the interactions, influences, and exchanges between Chinese literature and world literature, focuses on interactions between Chinese and world literature from an intercultural perspective, and seeks to illuminate the diversity and fusion of literature and culture. The research scope of the center primarily encompasses investigations into cultural content of Chinese and foreign literature, comparative studies between Chinese and world literature, intercultural research, literary and cultural translation, cross-cultural ecological criticism, as well as the overseas dissemination of Chinese literature and culture.
Currently, the center consists of 14 members. Though the center is still young, it has achieved significant outcomes. All members of the centre made great efforts and contribution in the same research area. The members have published two books and more than ten papers. Additionally, they have obtained approval for three provincial-level projects, won one first prize at the provincial level, and organized five academic lectures. The center sets particular emphasis on the cultivation and development of postgraduates. Five postgraduates have participated and presented their papers at international academic conferences which are at world-top level. Several students have actively engaged in translation competitions and won awards. Additionally, the postgraduates have published numerous high-quality academic papers, displaying a rich array of academic achievements.
